O The Game Awards sempre traz vários anúncios de jogos, com revelações e atualizações emocionantes sobre os próximos títulos anunciados anteriormente, e o The Game Awards 2021 não foi exceção. É também, como o nome indica, um show de prêmios, com jogos sendo reconhecidos em toda a indústria, desde os maiores títulos AAA até os menores jogos indie, muitos dos quais se juntam aos melhores jogos Xbox, Playstation, Nintendo, entre outros disponíveis.

O grande vencedor da noite foi It Takes Two, que foi o vencedor surpresa da categoria Grande Jogo do Ano. Também levou para casa os prêmios de Melhor Jogo para Família e Melhor Jogo Multijogador. Os prêmios foram dados ontem, 9 de dezembro durante a noite e para aqueles que passaram as três horas aguardando o último anúncio, podem ter ficado tristes ou felizes, já que o título concorria com outros de peso.
